Hey guys! For day 14 of the 31 days of color challenge being hosted by Chalkboard Nails the prompt is “floral” and I had so many nail fails before whipping out this super easy one tool mani!
To begin I laid down 1 thickish coat of Charlott by Zoya. This is a sort of greenish toned beigey nude that I didn’t think I’d like as much as I did! I then topcoated with Flash Dry by Bohemian Polish to keep the base protected.
Next I did an insanely easy swirl method that I picked up from @yagala. Its as easy as making a blob of white acrylic paint with a dotting tool, then dipping the tool in a little bit of the next color (pink acrylic paint in this case) and the swirling it right into the white. It makes an incredibly easy rose or flower and can be done in any size. I then went back in with a larger paintbrush and added in some leaf detail using green acrylic paint then finished off with Flash Dry topcoat once more. Before the topcoat had a chance to dry I went in with my rhinestone tool from bornprettystore.com and added in some clear rhinestones onto my ring finger for a little bit of pizzaz. Here is the finished result:
So that’s it for today, I hope you found this tutorial useful and stay tuned for day 15 tomorrow!
