Hey you guys! I have a totally simple and extreme mani for day 25 of the 31 days of color challenge. I have been dying to do these since I missed out on the BHB threadly nails challenge of “to match a shoe” so I’m so glad I finally have an excuse to whip these out lol! I don’t recommend these for everyday wear since the spikes seem to dislodge fairly easy but I think these would make a completely badass Halloween look.

To start with I laid down 2 easy coats of Zoya Willa for a nice, inky, opaque black base. I didn’t topcoat until I had the spikes out and ready for application.

Next I laid down a thickish layer of Flash Dry from Bohemian Polish and used my rhinestone tool to pick up individual spikes from this package from bornprettystore.com. I found that the spikes wanted to lay flat and roll around so to make pickup easier I dipped my rhinestone tool directly into my topcoat. I did have to reapply topcoat to my nail along one side but it was fairly easy! I began thinking I was only going to apply spikes to my middle and ring fingers, like so:

But somewhere along the way I decided to take it allll the way lol! I do love this look and I played around with the angles a good bit. This was a ton of fun and I totally see myself repeating this look…maybe with a green base and a Bowser feel to it!

So that’s it for today, I hope you enjoyed this look as much as I did and thanks so much for reading along! Stay tuned for day 26 tomorrow!
