Hey guys! Today I have a soft stamped gradient mani to share with you! The 2 crelly polishes and liquid latex were sent from MDJ Creations for review.
I began with 1 coat of Mod About You from O.P.I. on all of my nails! This is going to act as a base for the gradient and help it be more opaque faster.
Around my cuticles I applied a nice thin coat of Sexy Cuticles liquid nail tape by MDJ Creations around my cuticle area. This is going to help make all of that glitter cleanup a breeze! This liquid nail tape starts out a super cute hot pink and dries down a little bit darker. It peels up easily with tweezers and the applicator is almost like the brush in a nail polish bottle but the bristles are a bit thicker and stiffer.
For the gradient I used Ladies First and More Than Meets the Eye, available from MDJ Creations here. Ladies First is a milky pink based crelly with matte pink glitter, metallic pink glitter, holo glitter, etc. More Than Meets the Eye is a grey based crelly with pink glitter, bar glitter, holo glitter, and maybe some small metallic flakes as well! I used a makeup sponge to apply a few swipes of each color, blending a bit where they met. Then I roll across my nail and dab the sponge a bit to help the blending. I reloaded my sponge and did 2 passes on each nail before topcoating with Flash Dry from Bohemian Polish.
Next I used stamping plate 24 from bornprettystore.com and Iron from M Polish to stamp delicate silver vines on top of the gradient. I finished off with another coat of topcoat and this is the final result:
So that’s all I have for today, this gradient did get a bit thick towards my nail tips but I love how the colors combined with that stamp! Thanks so much for reading along and stay tuned for more swatches and nail art coming soon!
