Hey guys! Today I have some Dead Like Me inspired nails featuring my very first radial gradient! If you don’t know what Dead Like Me is, it was a Showime show that ran for 2 seasons based around a young women who met an untimely end via a burning toilet seat and became a modern day grim reaper. If you enjoy the hilariously macabre you will love this show!

I began with a coat of Zoya Sailor on all of my nails save my ring finger, on my ring finger I applied 1 coat of Zoya Purity.

Next I applied Sexy Cuticles from MDJ Creations around my ring fingernail, this liquid nil tape was sent to me for review. Then I took a makeup sponge and painted on a circle of Zoya Sailor, then filled in the circle with Zoya Purity. I lined the white portion up to the center of my ring finger and pounced the sponge several times to blend. I reloaded my sponge and dabbed again making sure I had a little bit of navy gradient on either side of my nail.

Next I used my double ended brush from bornprettystore.com available here. I absolutely love this brush, and not just because of all of the rhinestones! The fine tip end is perfect for doing small detail work and the squared off end is going to work amazing for one stroke method I believe! I used both ends for this look.

I outlined my reaper shape using Loredana from last year’s Matte Velvet collection from Zoya. I used the squared off tip for this. Then I went in with Zoya Willa and filled in the hooded portion as well as added some wrinkles into the clothing. Next I used a dotting tool and Zoya Kitridge to add her bubblegum bubble, then added white accents on to the bubble using Zoya Purity. I then topcoated with Flash Dry from Bohemian Polish. This is the finished result:

I took it a step further and topcoated with Bow’s Matte Topcoat, but it left little chunks of white (which I am assuming to be cornstarch) all over the nails so it ruined the effect for me a bit! I do love how the details pop matte though!
