Hi guys! Today I have some pretty duochrome holographic mermaid scale nails! I began with 1 easy coat of Liquid Leather by China Glaze.

Next I applied Easy Peel from @NailExperiments, this was sent to me for review. I received the small doe foot in a blue color that retails for $8, I found application to be super easy and silky. This liquid latex has a thin but easy to control formula that dries in an average amount of time and removes in one easy piece. If you’d like your own Easy Peel you may email Elena directly at NailExperiments@gmail.com for more information on all the colors and sizes available.

Next I used a wedged shape makeup sponge and Glitter Gal‘s Fiery Furnace, Red Night Sky, and Midnight Lake from the shifty duochrome line. This is the finished gradient over black and topcoated with Flash Dry.

Next I used item #23018 in option T6 to add the holographic mermaid scales. I was super nervous when I bought these thinking they would be  pain to work with but these were actually super easy! You get plenty of mermaid scales to do 2+ manis depending on the size of your nails, Just cut to fit your nail shape and peel off from the black backing!

I found these to be incredibly sticky and durable and I had no problem peeling them off in 1 piece. Since they are so sticky they can be a bit of a pain to readjust but not terrible. Once I had the stickers applied to my nails I went in with a small pair of scissors and trimmed an excess and then filed the tips for a smooth finish. I did do 2 coats of topcoat to even out my nail surface. All in all I love these, though I would probably just use the stickers as an accent next time!
