Hey guys! Today I have a really fun mani swap that I did with @darkartsandcrafts for this month’s #bhbmaniswap! I had such a hard time choosing just one mani of her’s to do, she is truly an amazing artist! The originals are to the left and recreates are to the right, I absolutely love how she recreated my orange paisley mani and her nail shape is seriously making me miss my points!
To begin my “wood” nails I added some Zoya Imogen to my pinky and half of my ring finger, then mussed it up a bit with my rhinestone tool to add a bit more texture. Then I topped them and painted the rest of my nails with China Glaze Sunset Sail. At this point I took my rhinestone tool and carved a heart and mine and my husband’s initials into the semi wet nude polish. We recently celebrated our 13 year “dating anniversary” and I thought this would be the perfect gesture lol!
Next I did a little bit of dry brushing using Zoya: Willa, Dove, Louise and Sinful Colors: Nirvana. I stamped on the wood using Winstonia Plate w113 and Zoya Louise before dry brushing a little more and using a detail brush to define the heart and initials. I then topped it with a matte topcoat but honestly I prefer how it looked before hand, the texture really helps it translate. My neice thought that I had done smore’s nails, so there’s that.
I enjoyed these so much, definitely check out the originals that @darkartsandcrafts did and stay tuned for more nail art and swatches coming soon!
I love this! It looks so cool!
