Swatches | Love, Angeline 2015 Fall Matte Let’s Grab A Drink Collection

Hey guys! Today I have a swatch and review of the 2015 Fall matte “Let’s Grab A Drink” collection from Love, Angeline! I did purchase these on my own and just realized that I forgot to pick up Whiskey so I will be picking that one up and adding it ASAP!

Shandy at 3 coats no topcoat

I’m going to begin today with Shandy. Shandy is described as “a golden yellow matte polish with an intense flash of gold shimmer. Add a top coat to make the shimmer come to life or leave in it’s natural matte state for more of a ‘glow’.”This one was a total surprise favorite for me! It has an easy to use formula that is a little on the thicker side and dries fairly quickly. I did need to do 3 coats for full opacity. I prefer this shade matte, the gold flash in it makes this polish feel super glowy and fall appropriate!

Bourbon at 3 coats no topcoat

Next up is Bourbon. Bourbon is described as “a darkened rust-orange matte polish with an intense flash of copper and gold shimmer. Add a top coat to make the shimmer come to life or leave in it’s natural matte state for more of a ‘glow’.” I needed 3 coats for this shade as well but it may have been opaque quicker with a bit of a thicker coat. Very pretty with the same quick drying matte formula, it darkened up quite a bit with topcoat.

Champagne at 3 coats no topcoat

Next up is Champagne. Champagne is listed with Bourbon’s description on the website but I would say that this is a fuchsia type pink with a strong blue shimmer. This had the thinnest formula of the collection but was still really easy to work with. At 3 coats I could still just barely make out my nail line. I love the way that this polish looks both matte and with a topcoat but topcoat really helps bring out the blue shimmer!

Red Wine at 2 coats no topcoat

Next up is Red Wine. Red Wine is described as “a darkened red matte polish with an intense flash of red and gold shimmer. Add a top coat to make the shimmer come to life or leave in it’s natural matte state for more of a ‘glow’.” This one was a definite favorite of mine and is such a stunner with topcoat! Fully opaque in 2 coats, this one had a little bit thicker of a formula.

Bellini at 1 coat no topcoat

Next up is Bellini. Bellini is described as “a darkened purple matte polish with an intense flash of purple and red shimmer. Add a top coat to make the shimmer come to life or leave in it’s natural matte state for more of a ‘glow’.” This one has a bit thicker of a formula but it is a total 1 coater! Super opaque, I did have some really mild staining around my cuticles upon removal.

Cosmo at 1-2 coats no topcoat

Next up is Cosmo. Cosmo is described as ” a darkened royal blue matte polish with an intense flash of blue and purple shimmer. Add a top coat to make the shimmer come to life or leave in it’s natural matte state for more of a ‘glow’.” I had a little bit of trouble telling this and Bellini apart just from the swatch photos! Cosmo was opaque for me in 1-2 coats and it did leave me with some staining so beware, double up on base coat, and keep this one out of your cuticles if possible! Once I added in a topcoat that made all the staining worth it for me!

Manhattan at 1 coat no topcoat

Next up is Manhattan. Manhattan is described as ” a darkened teal matte polish with an intense flash of aqua and purple shimmer. Add a top coat to make the shimmer come to life or leave in it’s natural matte state for more of a ‘glow’.” This had the same thicker, super opaque formula as Bellini and is completely opaque in 1 coat! This one dried super fast for me as well.

Margarita at 1 coat no topcoat

Lastly I have Margarita. Margarita is described as “a darkened emerald green matte polish with an intense flash of aqua and green shimmer. Add a top coat to make the shimmer come to life or leave in it’s natural matte state for more of a ‘glow’.” Super rich, this was another 1 coat wonder for me! I didn’t notice any staining with this one but I didn’t have it on for a super long time.

So that rounds out the swatches I have today, if you are interested in any of these Love, Angeline is having a pre-black Friday sale now through November 27th and everything is 50% off with code bf50 so hurry on over! I did purchase my set in the mini size but I found the brush stem to be a little on the shorter side for me so I definitely recommend springing for the full size!

Thanks so much for reading along, if you would like to see some of the colors that are similar to the Zoya Matte Velvets let me know in the comments down below! Stay tuned for more swatches and nail art coming soon!
