Hey guys today I have a really quick review of the November 2015 ipsy bag! Ipsy is a $10 a month subscription bag that comes with about 5 different samples and a new makeup bag every month! If you’d like you can sign up for your own ipsy bag here and earn 250 points towards extra goodies in your next bag!
The first item in my bag this month is the Angle brush from INSPR. I could not find this exact brush on the website but most of their other brushes retail at $10-12. This brush is described as able to “Define your eyes and brows with the angle liner brush. The synthetic hair latches liquid, gel and powder products thinly, and precisely.
- Super soft bristles
- Precisely defined application”
I found it to be soft and sturdy, I have some gel eyeliner on order and will test it more thoroughly when it gets in! Use coupon code IPSY2015 for 50% off your order!
The next item in my bag is a sample size of Smashbox’s Full Exposure mascara. I believe that everyone got this sample this month! The full size retails at $20 and it is described as a mascara that is “Inspired by the on-set technique of layering a lengthening fiber mascara over a volumizing formula, this new studio-tested mascara exposes your longest, fullest lashes. No clumps, no flakes. Just maximum-impact, scene-stealing lashes.
- 104% increase in lash volume
- 32% increase in lash length
- 34-degree increase in lash curl”
I am in love with this mascara! It has a super large spooley which I adore that helps cut down on application time and the formula is spot on! A waterproof version of this mascara is available on their website. Smashbox offers free shipping on every order!
The next item in my bag is the mini matte lip crayon in the shade Nantucket Nude by trestique. The full double ended size retails for $20. This lip crayon is described as one you could “Fall in love with this new matte lip pencil. Buttery soft, rich, yet light as air and uber comfortable with a futuristic vibrant finish. Infused with Vitamin E, and Monoi Tahiti Butter for moisturization and antioxidant properties.
- Feels as light as air
- Silky soft and smooth
- Contains vitamin E and Monoi Tahiti Butter”
I want to love this brand, I do! I recieved an eye shadow in an earlier ipsy bag and while I love the packaging and the ease of use I just do not love the formulas. This matte lip crayon is a little on the peachy/orange side for my skin tone and gave me that “concealer lip” color. It also settled pretty horribly into my lip creases and didn’t wear long at all. This is a pass for me…as in I will probably pass this down to my daughter so she can think she’s wearing lipstick with none of the color payoff lol! If you spend over $40 on the tre’stique website you can get 35% off and free shipping with coupon code IPSYNOV35.
The next item in my bag is from a totlly new to me brand, Jelly Pong Pong. It is a Liquid Gossamer highlighter in the shade Ethereal. The full size retails for $22.95 and is described as “A lightweight, water-based luminizer that gives skin instant radiance while keeping it moisturized at the same time. Formulated with ultra-fine, light-refracting coated mica pigments in a sheer, soft cream that gives your skin an ethereal, youthful-looking glow.
- 78% Natural
- No Parabens
- No Animal By-Products
Tip: Apply to your cheek and brow bones for a perfect highlight.”
This is a definite win for me, I was afraid the tint was going to be a little bit dark for my fair skin but it goes on a beautiful, fine, champagne color with just enough glow! It has a very creamy formula that removes easily without leaving glitter behind. Save 20% off your order with coupon code IPSY20.
The last item in my bag is the Warm Love pumpkin exfoliating mask from Albertini International. The full size retails for $23 and is described as ”
This mask removes old skin cells and stimulates new cell growth. Warming and fragrant, this mask uses pumpkin, papaya and pineapple enzymes to purify exfoliate and brighten skin. You will experience improved skin smoothness and texture with your first application.
- Stimulates new cell growth
- Purifies, exfoliates, and brightens complexion
- Pumpkin, papaya, and pineapple enzymes”
This mask has a wonderful smell and super creamy, almost lotion-like formula. I did have a little bit of a tightening sensation upon rinsing but my skin is super sensitive. It rinsed cleanly and felt very nice! The sample size I received was a little bit deceiving as the packing was only about 50% full but there is still enough product for about 3 masks or so. I’m hoping the full size just might make it’s way into my stocking this year!
So that rounds out my review of the November 2015 ipsy bag, I did end up purchasing another year so I will have another review in December!
