Hey guys! Today I have a really quick tutorial for these galaxy nails inspired by the November 2015 ipsy bag! To do these I used the Easy Peel Latex Barrier from @nailexperiments, Bellini/Champagne/Cosmo from Love, Angeline, Zoya Purity, OPI Pirouette My Whistle, Flash Dry topcoat and stars from item #22965 sent for review from bornprettystore.com
To begin I went around my cuticle area with Easy Peel Latex Barrier from @nailexperiments. I was sent this liquid latex in exchange for review. It does an amazing job at protecting the skin around the nail and peels off easily for super fast cleanup!
Next I laid down a base of Love, Angeline’s Bellini on all of my nails. One easy coat and a quick dry time later, the next step is to take a small piece of sponge (I use a makeup sponge torn into smaller pieces) and dip it into a white cream. I used Zoya’s Purity. Next I dabbed onto the purple in a diagonal direction, changing the path on each nail. Next I used Love, Angeline’s Champagne and a new piece of sponge and dabbed over the white. Next I took an even small piece of sponge and dabbed on a little bit of Cosmo from Love, Angeline to add some texture and depth around the pink. I then took a small detail brush and Zoya’s Purity and added in some dots and star detail. Once that had some time to dry I topped it off with OPI’S Pirouette My Whistle.
Before the OPI glitter topper had a chance to dry I used tweezers to randomly place some of the small stars in the nail wheel I was sent to review from bornprettystore.com. All of the rhinestones in this wheel are on the smaller side and very delicate. I do have other plans for some of the other rhinestone shapes included in this wheel but the stars were too perfect to pass up! Once I had the stars placed I topcoated with Flash Dry from Bohemian Polish to help lock everything into place. This is the final result:
So that is it for today, stay tuned for more nail art and swatches coming soon!
