Swatches | Valentine’s Day Duo from Smoky Mountain Lacquers

Hey guys! Today I am so excited to share the Valentine’s Day Duo releasing 1/13/16 at 8:00 pm EST from Smoky Mountain Lacquers! This duo was sent to me for review and includes Heartbreaker and Put A Ring On It. The duo will retail for $19 for full size and $11.50 for the minis.

I’m going to begin today with Heartbreaker.

Heartbreaker is described as “a light purple holo with violet holo micro glitter.” This one had a formula that is a little on the thicker side but it goes on beautifully! It took an average amount of time to dry and I feel like Heartbreaker does profit from a topcoat. The end result is a gorgeous soft purple color with tons of glitz!

Next up is Put A Ring On It!

Put A Ring On It (PAROI) is described as “a pink holo glitterbomb.” At 1 coat PAROI is a gorgeous demure topper with just a tiny bit of pink shimmer. At 2 coats, it is almost opaque but not quite. At 3 coats I can still see a bit of visible nail line in photographs but in person it is much less evident. On my ring finger I did 2 coats and then used a sponge to absorb some of the base and to make the glitters a little more opaque. The sponged on nail is a bit more sparkly but 3 normal coats is completely adequate for tons of light pin holographic coverage!
