Hey guys! I know it’s been a hot minute since I’ve done one of these, but today I have an unboxing and review of the items I received in my March 2016 Ipsy bag! I will also have a Birchbox review coming up for this month and I’ll let you know which subscription I enjoyed more this month. So lets jump right in!

The first thing I see is the Pixi by Petra blush duo in the shade Rose Gold. It is described as “This silky blush gives the perfect sheer flush on the apples of your cheeks. Its natural mineral powder formula reflects light, applies true to colour, is hydrating and feels lightweight on the skin. Each duo features two shades to be worn alone or layered.” I found the more highlighting side to have a nice color payoff but with a good amount of fallout, the more rosey color is a lot more subtle.
It is available here with a kabuki brush for $18 and you can save 15% by using coupon code IPSYMARCH.

Next up is the Me me me loose powder brush. It is described as “A soft bristled, full & dense brush designed to lightly dust powder evenly over a large area for a natural and flawless application.” I only have used it with the blush duo I also received in my bag and I had a good amount of fall out, so I’m not sure if it was the brush or the blush. It does have a good amount of nice soft bristles and I love the angled tip. I will more than likely use this as a contouring brush!
It’s available here for 14 pounds in a full size.

Next up is from Vera Mona, a new to me brand. It is a lotus eyeshadow in the shade clover. It is described as a ” pink-toned shimmer eyeshadow… perfect shade to achieve a soft glowy look for Spring.” I found this to have a really nice and soft color payoff and complimented the blush duo I also received in this bag nicely! I also really liked the packaging.

The next thing in my bag is the Marc Jacobs Argan Oil smoothing cream. This product is described as “A unique combination of ultra-light Mediterranean Olive Oil and Argan Oil – the ancestral beauty secret of Morocco – plus Shea Butter and our exclusive anti-frizz lock technology makes curls and waves desirably straight. Keratin deeply penetrates to strengthen while Vitamin E nourishes. Your hair will be glossy, ultra-smooth and full of body.” I was really intrigued in the claim that it both smooths and can hold curls for 3 days. I am currently testing this product out, so far I have found that it has a nice creamy formula with a light scent that didn’t weigh down my bleached damaged hair. So far its a win for me!
It is available at Ultas.

The last item in my bag is the Nyx Liquid Suede Lipstick in the shade Kitten Heels. It is described as “glides on smooth and sets into a striking matte finish. Velvety soft and waterproof, this long-lasting lippie creates a positively polished look with every swipe.” This did dry down to a beautiful velvety finish and the wear time is amazing! It did just have a tiny bit of stickiness to it and leaned a little bit into the orange color spectrum which I am actually kind of digging!
It is available here.
