ZoyaSunsets

Today I have swatches of the Sunsets collection for Summer 2016 from Zoya, these were sent to me for review and they are available now on zoya.com! I also have a bonus look at 2 of the new lipsticks that are releasing with the summer collections at the end. If you are interested in seeing the Seashells collection I have that reviewed here.

Dixie at 1 coat under artificial lighting

First up is Dixie, Dixie is described as ” a juicy watermelon red with a densely saturated, buttery smooth application. A cool treat for hot summer days!”This is a spot on description for this juicy pinky red! This one was opaque for me in 1 thicker coat, the formula was fantastic and dried down to a glossy finish. I have a comparison with some of the similar shades I have in my collection:

Brynn at 1 coat under artificial lighting.

Next up is Brynn, Brynn is described as “a popsicle pink with a densely saturated, buttery smooth application. The epitome of happy carefree color!” This one wanted to photograph a bit brighter than it actually is in person, this is a deep pink tone that is opaque in 1 coat and dries down to a glossy finish. Here is a quick look at a comparison of some of the similar shades I have in my collection:

Cam at 2 coats under artificial lighting.

Next up is Cam, Cam is described as ” a deep, fully saturated orange with a densely saturated, buttery smooth application. Rich and juicy like a ripe tangerine!” This one wanted to photograph brighter for me as well, Cam has some really gorgeous subtle burnt tones in it that reminds me of the shade of carrots! This one was almost opaque for me in 1 coat but was competently opaque for me in 2. Here is a comparison of some of the similar shades I have in my collection:

Ness at 1 coat under artificial lighting.

Next up is Ness, Ness is described as ” a softened jade green with a hint of blue to make it wearable for all skin tones. Reminiscent of sea glass found on your favorite beaches!” This is another spot on description, this is totally a gorgeous Jade shade and just may be my favorite from the collection! This one was opaque for me in 1 thicker coat. Here is a quick comparison of some of the (not so) similar shades in my collection:

From L to R: Sage, Ness, Bevin.

Dory at 1 coat under artificial lighting.

Next up Is Dory, Dory is described as “a vibrant cornflower blue with a densely saturated, buttery smooth application. Get ready to rock the waves!” This bright beauty was opaque for me in 1 thicker coat but I can see where depending on application you may prefer 2 thin coats. Here is a quick comparison of the only similar shade I have in my collection, I do not own Ling so that may be a closer match:

Live at 2 coats under artificial lighting.

Lastly I have Liv, Liv is described as “a fun-filled purple that is seriously saturated and makes a statement! Great on any skin tone, with or without a tan.” This one wanted to photograph a little brighter than it is in person as well, and it also needed 2 coats to match the shade in the bottle for me. Here is a quick comparison of some of the similar shades I have in my collection:

From L to R; Odette, Liv, Fergie

  1. I was going to try to say no to buying these, but your swatches and review are so enabling!! That’s amazing that they are one-coaters, and I’ve also heard that they stamp well! I am always a sucker for Zoya cremes!
