ExWomen2

Today I have a swatch and review of the Ex-Women collection releasing from le polish on June 24th at noon EsT! I have always been such a huge fan of the X-Men and I absolutely love this “good girl gone bad” take on some of the women of the group! I was sent these polishes for review and I will get right into how they swatched.

ViolentBottle
Violent Tempest at 3 coats plus topcoat under artificial lighting.

First up is Violent Tempest based on the X-Woman Storm and one of my personal faves! this one is described as “A sparkling white packed with electric blue shimmer.” The blue shimmer in this one is beautifully subtle and was fully opaque for me in 3 coats. I do recommend a topcoat and this one does have a bit of a thicker formula. When I tested how this one stamped it picked up very sheer but beautifully and will really pop over a black or darker color.

Fiery Hot-Head at 3 coats under artificial lighting.

Next up is Fiery Hot-head, based on Rogue. This one is described as a “A dark red crelly, full of orange, red, and gold glitters.” Fiery Hot-head is nice and opaque at 2 coats but a third really deepens up the jelly effect and is totally worth it! I can’t wait to pull this polish out again in the fall! Since this is a jelly base with large flake it didn’t test too well for stamping for me.

EmotionalBottle
Emotional User at 2 coats plus topcoat under artificial lighting.

Next up is Emotional User based on Rogue and described as “an olive green full of shimmer and flakes.” This one had a great formula and was opaque in only 2 coats for me. It does dry down a little dull so I’ve swatched it today with topcoat. This one also picks up great as a stamp and will pop over a darker color or white.

Deceitful Beauty at 2 coats under artificial lighting.

Next up is Deceitful Beauty inspired by Mystique and described as “A dark blue full of black and blue shimmer.” This is one of my absolute favorites from this collection! Deceitful Beauty was fully opaque for me in just 2 easy coats and picked up nicely as a stamp as well!

Psychological Manipulator at 2 coats under artificial lighting.

Lastly I have Psychological Manipulator inspired by Psylocke and described as ” A light purple full of red shimmer and flakes.” This is another really easy 2 coater polish and it stamps the best out of the entire collection!
