Today I have the Sea Escapes collection from Love, Angeline to share with you today! This is a collection of 5 shimmery matte shades for Spring 2016 but I feel like these work well into the Summertime as well! I did purchase these and they are available now, retailing for $5 for a 7 mL mini or $9 for a 15 mL full size.

First up is Take Me Away, described as a “fuchsia pink matte polish with a blue flash.” This one has a great 2 coat formula with great coverage at 1 coat. These all have a ton beautiful shimmer but I especially love the ones with a shimmer in a different shade from the base, like this one! I didn’t have any problems with application or dry time and this one did a beautiful job at stamping as well.

Next up is the only 1 coater for me in the collection, Cheeky Tiki! Described as “a rose gold matte polish with a gold shimmer!” This one did have a bit of thicker formula and got a little brush strokey on me so you may prefer trying a thinner coat. This one is absolutely phenomenal for stamping!

Next up is another favorite of mine, Mermaid Tales! Mermaid Tales is described as “a turquoise matte polish with a green flash.” This one has another really easy 2 coat formula that dries down quickly and is gorgeous stamped over black and white.

Next up is Calm Waters, described as “a blue matte polish with a purple flash.” This is by far the sheerest of the collection, I did 3 coats here and could still make out my nail line a bit. The shimmer in this one really comes out with a topcoat and that is my preference for this polish. This one did stamp okay over white but really pops over black.

Lastly I have Ocean Breeze, described as “a light purple matte polish with a green flash” This was another favorite for me, and another incredibly easy 2 coat formula. I had no brushstrokes with this one and it stamped super easy for me! This one plus topcoat is so amazing in the sun!

I wanted to address the controversy I’ve seen lately around some of the extras included in most packages from Love, Angeline. I received a super boss green holographic nail polish bottle sticker (my sweet friend at Polish Galore suggested turning it into a magnet and I am all about that!) and a Jesus loves you notecard. There have been many, many people offended by the addition of religious specific material into these packages. I myself, am not religious. Am I offended? Not enough to not make future purchases from LA. I 100% support the freedom to include whatever religion into your business that you prefer, I also support the general publics freedom to support said businesses or not by their purchases. I just can’t get up in arms about anyone wishing me well in whatever way feels best to them. We need more love in the world, y’all.

This collection is soft and lovely! I am also not religious but personally don’t care if someone includes a sticker like that. I figure it is part of their way of showing they care.

These are lovely matte but even more stunning with a glossy top coat! I love the way you addressed the controversy. I find people tend to be too up tight lol.
