Nail Art | Harry Potter and the Cursed Child

Today is Harry Potter’s 36th birthday! The new Harry Potter play, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, was also released today! On this amazing day of Potterhead history I thought it would be neat to do some nail art in celebration, this is what I came up with:

Inspiration photo, property of Pottermore.
2 coats of Zoya Purity.

I began by laying down a base color of 2 coats of Zoya Purity.

Zoya Misty sponged on the edges.

Once purity was dry I took a makeup sponge and sponged Zoya’s Misty around the outside edges.

Sponged on Piaf.

Once that was dry I sponged on Zoya’s Piaf in a random pattern. I let this full dry and topcoated with Zoya’s Glossy Seal.

I then used Zoya’s Louise, Misty, and Piaf with a striping brush and added in the “nest” detail before using black and white acrylic paints to add in the wings on my middle and pinky nails. I topcoated everything once more with Glossy Seal and then added a matte topcoat! What do you think?

Finished matte mani under artificial lighting.
Finished matte mani at an angle under artificial lighting.
Matte “nest” macro.
Matte “wing” macro.

Are you a Harry Potter fan? Have you gotten yourself a copy of the book or do you plan on it?
