Hey y’al! Today I am so excited to bring y’all my swatches of the Halloween 2016 collection available now from Colores de Carol! These were sent to me for review and are available now! This collection retails for $11 individually or $40 for the collection and I’ll jump right into the swatches:

Mani base from L to R: Tux Polish Onyx, Tux Polish Pure, Gradient, Colores de Carol Chimera

The Glitter Phantom is a dense glitter topper, described as “a sparkly clear base packed with white, orange, green and black glitters and black bats.” As this one is a topper I did a black, white, orange, and gradient nail to shown you how the glitters will react over each base color.

Extra black matte bat glitters.

My package came with extra bat matte glitters, there are bats included in the bottle of The Glitter Phantom but they may require a little bit of fishing for placement. I placed some of the extra bats on my white middle nail, the other nails show The Glitter Phantom at 2 coats. I feel like this topper has a beautiful glitter to base ratio and went on pretty easy with minimum manipulation. It does dry down textured so I smoothed everything out with 2 coats of topcoat. I did need to press one of the bats’ wings down to keep it from lifting but other than that I really loved how this looks – especially over the gradient and the black!

Next up is Chimera, described as “a semi metallic orange holographic with orange holo glitter and micro holo flakes.” Chimera is a gorgeous polish that looks like it is lit from within from that gorgeous gold shimmer! Fabulous formula, this polish is opaque in 2 coats and dries down fairly glossy. This polish will stamp but you may lose some of the detail due to the glitters and flakes.

Next up is my favorite from the collection, Vampire Nightmare described as “a dark brownish red holographic with gold glitter and holo flakes.” This is such a beautiful deep rusty oxblood shade and all of the holographic glitters just throws me over the edge! Vampire Nightmare is fully opaque in 2 coats but a third does deepen the color slightly and is worth it for me! Again, this polish will stamp but you may lose some of the detail.

Lastly today I have Morticia, described as “a deep violet holographic with blue shimmer to it, micro holo glitter and holo flakes.” This is a favorite too, it photographs so beautifully and I could just swim in it!! Fully opaque in 2 coats this one strikes me as a very dark navy blurple with a ton of holo glitter. Morticia dries down fairly glossy and can also stamp.
