Hey y’all! Today I have a swatch and review of the upcoming Young Frankenstein Puttin On The Ritz collection releasing September 30th from Lyn B Designs! These will be available on her brand new website here and this entire collection will retail for $35 with free shipping! These were sent to me for review and I will just jump right into the swatches!

First up is one of my top picks of the entire collection, Put The Candle Back! Put The Candle Back is described as a “pale off white base with orangey golden shimmer with orange iridescent glitter.” This polish is a stunner! It has a bit of a thicker formula but was completely opaque for me in 2 coats, it does dry down a bit textured but a good topcoat easily smooths it out. The shimmer in Put The Candle Back really has me in love, it just glows like a gorgeous rose gold in natural lighting!

Next up is Ovaltine? described as a “taupey tan base with hint of tonal shimmer, holo shimmer, and hint of brown micro glitter.” This polish looks just like gorgeous glittering beach sand on the nail, it does start out fairly sheer but builds up to full opacity in 3 coats.

Next up is Do You Also Say Froderick? which is described as a “sheer grey blue base with UCC flakies that shift from green to cyan to blue to purple to pink.” This polish threw me for a bit of a loop, it is a very sheer jelly polish full of a ton of those gorgeously shifty UCC flakies. The formula is very easy to work with but it did take 4 coats to be full opaque on me. I generally do not do 4 coat polishes however, I really feel like the color payoff on this polish is worth it. That being said I really like how it applies as a topper as well! I will show swatches of it at one coat over Zoya’s Willa below:

Next up is my top pick of the collection, Taffeta Darling, which is described as a “deep purple jelly base with linear holo, green fantasy flakes, and shifting pigment that shifts from pink to orange.” This is such a glowing, vibrant shimmer polish full of linear holographic glitter! The large iridescent flakes add a nice touch and this is one of those polishes that is going to look phenomenal in every lighting. Taffeta Darling was opaque in 3 coats for me.

Next up is Abby Something, described as a “deep berry base with rainbow chameleon flakies, teal shimmer, and holo micro shred.” Abby Something is another fairly sheer polish that could have really used 4 coats but all of the elements in this shade combine to make a deliciously witchy combination! I do love the final effect of Abby Something on it’s own but I’ve also swatched it as a topper of Zoya’s Willa and it looks like a completely different polish!

The last polish I have for you today is Quiet Dignity and Grace, described as a “intense black Galaxy holo and regular black holo glitter in a black jelly base with holo shimmer.” This polish is so shiny in natural lighting, the variations in glitter really make this look like a deep galaxy on the nail! Completely opaque for me in 3 coats.

Lastly today Lyn B Designs will be launching 100% soy wax candles on September 30th as well! I was sent one to review in the scent Orange Chai Tea and it is seriously one of the most delicious things I have ever smelled! It does have a strong (but not overpowering) scent that seems to hit a different note every time I walked past it. Lots of autumn appropriate cinnamon in there, which is one of my most favorite scents. Ive gotten 10 good hours of burn time so far and still have over 1/3 of the candle left but I will update this post as soon as it burns completely. It shipped to me no problem even in the Texas heat! Lyn B candles will retail for $12.

So that wraps up today swatch and review, I think Jennalyn does an exceptional job at making gorgeous collections that are super affordable! If you’ve been a bit leery of jumping into the indie polish scene Lyn B Designs is a great place to start in my opinion! I will link all of their social media below so be sure to follow to stay up to date on all future releases and sales:
