Hey y’all! Today I have swatches of the Lucky Colors collection in honor of Chinese New Year available now from Serum No. 5! This collection of 12 beautiful holographic shades each represent a year on the calendar and they will retail at $13. A portion of each sale will be donated to charity and they are all cruelty free. These polishes were sent to me for review and I’ll jump right into the swatches!

First up is Monkey which is described as a “soft white with subtle holographic and gold shimmer for the fun, energetic and active.” This polish gets close to the quintessential white holographic polish that everyone is searching for! Monkey has a soft crelly like formula that builds up nicely in 3 coats, the gold flake running throughout really helps balance out any silvering out effect the linear holographic glitter may have. Overall it lends for a very subtle shade!

Next up is Rabbit which is described as a ” medium pink holographic polish for he popular, compassionate and sincere.” This is such a classy, beautiful dusty pink! It built up to full opacity for me in two coats and had a soft holographic finish.

_

Next is Dog which is described as a “red holographic polish for the patient, faithful and kind.” Dog has an amazing 1-2 coat formula with a very strong linear holographic effect! It did lean a little raspberry for me in certain lightings.

_

Next up is one of my favorites, Horse! Horse is described as a “brown holographic polish for the energetic and impatient world traveler.” I will never be over a brown holographic polish and this one has an amazing formula! I had complete coverage in just one easy coat.

_

Next is a polish I feel was made just for me, Tiger! Tiger is described as a “orange holographic polish for the emotional, courageous and intense.” This polish does have a bit of a jelly like base but built up nicely for me in two thickish coats.

_

Next is Rooster, the year we are entering! Rooster is described as a “golden yellow holographic polish for the independent, practical and hard-working.” Rooster has bright metallic golden hints that make for such a cheery, springy shade! It was completely opaque for me in 2 coats with minimal brushstrokes.

_

Next is Rat which is described as a “medium green holographic polish for the smart, charming and persuasive.” Rat started out a little sheer but built up surprisingly quickly in just two coats!

_

Next is Ox which is described as a “blue holographic polish for the patient, kind and stubborn.” This is another one with a bit of a squishy jelly base but it built up to a perfectly opaque finish with depth in just 2 coats.

_

Next is another one of my favorites, Sheep! Sheep is described as a “purple holographic polish for the shy, kind and peace-loving.” This polish is absolutely insane under all lighting, it has awesome coverage at one coat but a second adds a ton of depth.

_

_

Pig is another of my absolutely favorites and might be my number 1 top pick! Pig is described as a “charcoal gray holographic polish for the loving, honest, and luxurious.” The formula on this polish is perfect and applied in one easy coat! I love how the linear holographic glitter makes a rainbow on this deep grey base.

_

Lastly today I have Snake which is described as a “black holographic polish for the charming, generous and smart.” This is another one that has a flawless formula and had perfect application in 1 coat!

That wraps up today’s swatch and review, if you love these be sure to follow Serum No. 5’s social media to stay up to date on all future sales and releases! They are also having a pretty awesome sale on some of the polish of the month colors so head on over!

You actually make it appear really easy with your presentation but I to find this matter to be actually something which I believe I would never understand. It kind of feels too complex and very wide for me. I am looking ahead in your next post, I’ll try to get the dangle of it!
