Hey guys! Today I have a swatch and review of 6 polishes from Shu Shu Kids, these polishes and products were sent to me for review and they are available right now! These polishes are water based, non toxic, and safe for children and expectant mothers. I did find these polishes to be super creamy and they all go on so smooth! In my opinion they do have a bit of a longer dry time than typical nail polish and I do recommend a topcoat to smooth the finish out a bit. The packaging is out of this world adorable and I’ll go ahead and get into the review!

First up is Cloud In The Sky Mia, a pretty sky blue from the peel off line which retails for $10.99. This polish went on super opaque and was really easy to work with! I did two coats for my swatches and just one for my daughters, it did dry down a bit matte without topcoat so my swatches here are shown topped with Superchic Lacquer’s Liquid macro.

Next up is Enchanting Gold Amelia, a warm glitzy gold polish from the standard line that retails for $10.99. This polish had such an amazing formula and finish! I did 2 coats for our swatches here today but it made need 3 depending on application.

_

Next is Light Pink Zari, a bestselling light pink from the peel off line that retails for $12.99. This polish had a bit of a thicker formula for me but it was completely opaque in 1-2 coats, I did have some low spots on a few nails that required that second coat.

_

Next up is Elegant Peach Kaylee, a smooth nude peach toned polish from the standard line that retails for $10.99. This polish was an easy 2 coater for us and I love how classy this feels on the nails! This was also the only bunny we received with a bright pink head and I think it is just adorable!

_

Next up is Burgundy Annabelle, a crelly from the peel off line that retails for $12.99! This crelly has a pink base with white, yellow, and maybe some green matte circle glitters! This polish goes on like a dream in 2 coats and did dry down a bit deeper than it shows in the bottle. Burgundy Annabelle also dries down fairly textured so I do recommend a good topcoat. Removal was pretty typical of a standard glitter polish.

The last polish I have to share with you today is my favorite of the bunch, Red Scarlett from the peel off line which retails for $12.99. Red Scarlett went on incredibly smooth and opaque in 1-2 coats and I was able to wear it for a full day with just some tip wear!

We were also sent the Shu Shu acetone free nail polish remover specifically made for removing these water based polishes. I found this remover was very gentle on the nails, it has added Aloe Vera and vitamin E that nourishes as it goes on. My daughter is a nail biter and cuticle picker and it didn’t sting her at all when I did clean up or removal. I will say that using this remover is more about elbow grease and less about solvents so it did take a bit of time to remove the polish when it was completely dry. It did an amazing job at cleanup while the polish was still wet however!

We were also sent a pink lip crayon to test out! Generally I’m not a huge fan of makeup on my children but I felt good about letting my daughter wear this lippy. The packaging is adorable and easy to apply for good moisturization and just a small flush of pigment. It does have a thermal/ph element that deepens up just a bit when applied.

All in all I love this is a natural, eco friendly brand that is safe for children! Typical wear time for my daughter using these polishes was about a day and a half before she peel removed them and was ready for the next color. I like that I can feel better about letting her wear polishes as we try to nip her nail biting habit. Plus the packaging is just about the cutest I’ve seen! Oh my gosh…baby hands! Your daughter’s swatches are adorable. I know she’s not a baby, I just think the little hands are super cute. Don’t mind me.
