Hey guys! Today I have a swatch and review of the Moana inspired Wayfinder collection, available right now from Moon Shine Mani by Phoebe Moon! This collection will retail for $96 for the entire collection, $66 for all 6 glitter polishes, or $31 for all 4 cremes. They are of course also available individually and while some are sold out right now they are planned to be restocked. These polishes were sent to me for review and I’ll just jump right into the swatches!

First up is “Heart Of Te Fiti” described as a “vibrant spring green linear holo which is further livened by gold shimmer and rainbow flakies.” The rainbow flakes are such a nice sublte touch in this polish that also doubles as Phoebe’s take on the Pantone color of the year! This polish was opaque for me in 2 easy coats and had such a strong linear holographic effect.

Next up is “How Far I’ll Go” which is described as a “lavender linear holographic packed with three kinds of gold shimmer and freckled with metallic gold flakies for a very warm glow on the nail.” This polish has such a smooth and easy 2 coat formula and I love the gold accents in here!

Next is my number 1 top pick, The Shapeshifter which is described as a ” beguiling multichrome shifting from green to blue to violet to red. The polish is also infused with gold scattered holographic.” This pooooolish, I love it so much! I did need 3 coats for complete opacity but I did have nice coverage at 2 coats. You could also layer this at 1 coat over black to get the full range of shift. I would say the predominate shift here is a teal to purple with the blue and red being a little more subtle.

Next up is “Drab Little Crab Once” which is described as a “bubblegum pink crelly nestling violet and gold shimmers, light pink holo glitters in multiple sizes, and a pop of shifting glitter- orange/yellow/green.” This one makes me want to sing! It was fully opaque for me in 2 coats and it did dry down a bit textured due to those larger glitters.

Next is Motunui which is described as a “slightly mossy, fern green crelly with chartreuse and emerald holo hex glitters swimming in gold scattered holo.” I did have some settling of the larger glitter in this polish so I do recommend flipping your bottle just a bit before polishing but I love the depth they add in the finished look! I did 3 coats for my swatches today.

CrazyBottle

Next is “Village Crazy Lady” which is described as a “lightened sapphire blue crelly PACKED with glitters to make the polish as unique and quirky as the woman it’s named for. We have deep emerald, light blue, and fuchsia holo hexes, shifting glitters- orange/yellow/green, rainbow flakies, all swimming in violet shimmer and delicate scattered holo.” This polish has a lot going on in it which makes for a totally unique finish! It was completely opaque for me in 2 coats and it did dry down pretty well textured so a good glitter eating topcoat will help smooth it down if you prefer.

Next up is the collection’s namesake, Wayfinder! Wayfinder is described as a ” clay red coral cream, smooth and warm.” This polish had awesome coverage at 1 coat but I did do 2 for today’s swatches! I think this balances so beautifully between red and orange for a gorgeously bright finish.

Next up is “Also I Lassoed The Sun” which is described as a “blazing, hot yellow cream.” This yellow is so so close to being a neon, it is so bright and sunny on the nail! The first coat went on a little streaky but it built up perfectly in just 2 coats with no undies!

PacificBottle
In The Pacific shown at 1 coat under artificial lighting.

Next up is “In The Pacific” which is described as a “energized primary blue with a touch of purple.” As soon as I saw this polish I immediately thought it looked so close to the original Sally Hansen Pacific Blue and that is totally Phoebe’s intentions! This polish did have a bit of unmixed pigment, Phoebe is aware and is working hard to fix the issue for the next batch. That being said, the pigments didn’t make the formula hard to work with but they do show up as dark spots in the finished look.

Lastly I have “I’m Not A Princess” which is described as a ” light, refreshing lavender cream.” This polish started out a little sheer but built up to a beautiful finish at 2 coats! It did have some slight unmixed pigment particles but it was affected much less than In The Pacific.
