Hey guys! Today I have a look at the upcoming Cast A Spell box releasing on July 31st from 7 Potter loving makers! This box will retail at $53 plus shipping and it was sent to me for free in exchange for review. The first 20 orders will be ready to ship immediately with an unlimited preorder through August 7th. The box will be available exclusively at http://castaspell.bigcartel.com/ and I’ll jump right in to everything included!

First up is Sectumsempra by Nvr Enuff Polish, described as a “blood red holo with red sparkle and a red shift!” You guys know I am enamored with red polishes and this is one stunner of a holo! I did find that I had right about full complete coverage in 2 easy coats but I do prefer the deeper finish a 3rd coat lends to the final mani.

This is Avada Kadavra by Stached Polish, a shimmering Slytherin green polish with a sprinkling of scattered holographic glitter. The formula on this polish is unbelievable, this is a careful and easy 1 coater! I feel like the shimmer does get a little bit stronger with a quick second coat and this polish does definitely dry down matte so I recommend adding your favorite glossy top coat.

This is Fianto Duri by Blue Eyed Girl Lacquer which is described as an “icy blue crelly with fine green shimmer and medium copper shimmer.” This does have a crelly formula so it was a little thicker of a polish and also went on a little more sheer. I did have some streaking but it finished off beautifully in 3 coats!

Next up is Expecto Patronum by Cupcake Polish, described best as an “almost a denim blue color holo with heavy silver shimmers and silver flakies.” I did have a little bit of separation when it arrived but a quick shake fixed everything right up and seriously the formula on this polish is flawless! With 1 careful coat I had pretty much full opacity but I did do 2 coats for today’s swatches. The silver flakes are everything!

Next up is Legilimens by Night Owl Lacquer, a “dark purple with chameleon shimmer that shifts red/violet/blue, silver holo shreds and crystal rainbow flakies.” This jelly polish reached the perfect amount of depth for me in 3 coats and I could forever stare at this polish shining in the sunlight!

A butter beer scented cuticle oil by Lily Anne’s Garden is also included with a rolling top applicator. Y’all, this scent is without a doubt one of my most favorite things in the world! It has sweet buttery notes that remind me of warm toffee and it did a great job at moisturizing my nails and cuticles.

The last items in the box are a black vinyl in 1 of 5 designs as well as a sheet of nail decals from Ribbits Stickits! The nail decals all have a clear backing to apply over whatever base is best for you and I will definitely be featuring them in some nail art super soon!
That wraps up today’s swatch and review, be sure to follow along all of the maker’s social media platforms for more swatches of all of the products featured here!
