Hey guys! Today I have a special treat to share with you! This is a look at the new Green Gables collection releasing April 1st – 5th 2018 at 9am AEST from Femme Fatale Cosmetics! This 8 piece collection inspired by the classic book will be available for a few presales and through your favorite stockists! Anne has long been one of my favorite heroines and this collection does a great job at bringing the story to our fingertips.

First up is White Way of Delight, and it is described as a “stunning off-white crelly base with soft copper glow, filled with white and silver holographic glitters of various sizes and holographic particles.” This shade did need 3 easy coats to build up to full opacity and the copper shimmer shows up gorgeously on this soft base. This would be an amazing bridal color!

Next up is A Kindred Spirit, a “flattering cool-tone dusty-rose pink with blue glow and holographic particles. A beautiful work-friendly shade.” This dusty rose has a crelly type formula and built up perfectly in 3 coats with a soft holographic effect.

_

Next up is Currant Wine, a “gorgeous berry crème with blue glow.” This polish went on so silky and gorgeous in 3 coats, it does dry down a bit matte so I do recommend going in with your favorite glossy topcoat.

Ok so this next polish is my top pick and speaks directly to my heart! This is “This Freckled Witch” and it is described as a “red to greeny-copper multichrome packed with silver holographic glitters and holographic particles.” This color has an impeccable 2 coat formula and although it does dry down with some texture due to those larger glitter particles one coat of topcoat smoothed it right out for me! This Freckled Witch also has a beautiful shift that is impossible to not be mesmerized by!

Next up is My Lifelong Sorrow, a “pale champagne pink with golden glow (warm) through to a bolder orange with golden glow (cold).” This is such a clever polish and beautifully shows off Anne’s dislike of her amazing orange red hair and her yearning to wear pink! The formula went on perfectly for me in 3 easy coats and I did find this polish to be fairly temperature sensitive!

This next polish is Lake of Shining Waters and it is best described as a “vibrant bright blue packed with green-purple shifting duochrome shimmers and scattered holographic particles.” Lake of Shining Waters is a perfect balance of shimmer, holo, and bright vivid color payoff and built up to full opacity for me in 3 coats. This color has been reported to have a small chance at staining so if you are prone to that you may want to use a stain blocking base coat.

This is Trees Talking In Their Sleep and it is described as a “soft brown (cold) to clear (warm) thermal packed with an ethereal emerald green glow and luminescent green-blue shifting flakes.” This gorgeous woodsy thermal in so packed with the iridescent flakies it has to be another of my top picks! I did 3 easy coats for my swatches today and was really happy with the subtle shift even though my hands were running a little cool today!

_

Rounding out the collection today is Woodsy, Wild, and Lonesome and it is described as a “deep aubergine purple base with a quirky olive-blue shifting multichrome, packed with silver holographic microglitter and holographic particles.” This deep soft shifty shade was pretty well opaque for me in 2 coats!

These polishes do tend to dry down a little bit dull so I recommend going in with your favorite glossy topcoat to keep the shimmer and holo at it’s most stunning! That wraps up today’s swatch and review, be sure to follow all of Femme Fatale’s social media platforms to stay up to date on all new releases and I will have new exciting Femmes up really soon so stay tuned!
