Hey you guys, today I have something super excited to share with you! The Fire Lily collection is releasing for presale on 9am AEST May 1st – through 5th at 9pm AEST. This collection is inspired by the four Pellinor books, a fantasy series by Australian author Alison Croon. I am not familiar with the series but you better believe after seeing these polishes I will be looking in to them ASAP! These 8 new polishes are a gorgeous range of shades and finishes and they were sent to me for review. These will be back for restocks and will also trickle down to your favorite stockists.

First up is a doozy! This is Inner Dreaming, a “brown (cold) to clear (warm) thermal with pink glow and pink/purple to green shifting iridescent flakes.” This polish will retail for $13 USD and built up to full coverage in 3 coats! The warm state is a clear filled with iridescent flakies so some visible nail line will be apparent depending on your nail length, body temperature, and environment temps.

Next up is Treesong, a “warm toned brown with the barest hint of a red shift, filled with an array of silver holographic particles, silver and gold holo glitters, green iridescent glitters, copper glitters, matte pastel pink glitters and more.” This polish is such a cool and unique mix and gives a range of finishes! Under artificial or indoor lighting I picked up more of the shimmer, while outdoors I picked up more of those glitters! Three coats made for perfect opacity for me.

Okay you guys, get your fast fingers ready for this next shade! This is the namesake of the collection and it is without a doubt my top pick. Fire Lily is described as a “warm version of The Mermaid’s Tail, Fire Lily is jam-packed full of red flakes and glitters into a slightly blue-tinted jelly base, rounded off with a bit of the wannabe-Unicorn Pee pigment that flashes from red to green.” This polish was a little sheer for me at 3 coats but the finish is undeniably cool! With sponging the flakes would be completely opaque for sure.

Next up is Triple-Tongued, an “aged gold with a hint of olive, full of holographic particles and holographic flakes.” This gold is off the chain and the formula is fabulous, I had no brush stroking issues and 3 coats made for a flawless metallic finish.

This is Winterking, a “wintry pearl white base with turquoise shine, filled with black holographic glitters and blue iridescent glitter accents. Opaque in 3-4 coats; this one is designed to be more sheer so it layers up really nicely with the black glitters, but you can wear it over white/grey if you prefer.” This crelly polish is a super cool unique mix that built up nicely for me in 3 coats! I appreciate that the formula isn’t too thick and the shimmer adds a sweet mint feel. You will want to break out a glossy topcoat for this one!

This is Nameless One, a “dark blue jelly filled with fiery red chrome flakes, reddish pigment, silver holographic glitters and the wannabe-Unicorn Pee pigment which flashes from red to green.” This looks like a galaxy on the nails and built up perfect in 3 easy coats!

Next up is another favorite of mine, Fates Bound Together. This polish is best described as a “blue (warm) to purple (cold) thermal with pink shift and red iridescent flakes.” This polish was beautifully temperature sensitive on my nails and I had perfect coverage in 2-3 coats!

_

Last up today I have The Mark of Darkness, a “gorgeous royal blue-toned purple base with a soft pink-green multichrome shifting glow.” This polish is so incredibly silky on the nails and was perfectly opaque in 3 coats. It does dry down a little bit dull so break out the topcoat to keep that lit from within glow.

These polishes do tend to dry down a little bit dull so I recommend going in with your favorite glossy topcoat to keep the shimmer and holo at it’s most stunning! That wraps up today’s swatch and review, be sure to follow all of Femme Fatale’s social media platforms to stay up to date on all new releases and I will have new exciting Femmes up really soon so stay tuned!
